Fresnes: first case of Coronavirus in a prison

A nurse working in a division of approximately 800 detainees was diagnosed Thursday evening.


It's complicated to manage everywhere. But in a prison, the mission will prove to be perilous. Get going the fight since this Friday morning at Fresnes prison, the most populous in France after Fleury-Mérogis (Essonne).

According to the national prison union Force Ouvrière, a nurse working in the third division has coronavirus. The diagnosis was made on Thursday evening.

"As of this Friday morning, cells must be prepared to place prisoners at risk in confinement," said Cédric Boyer, FO union delegate. Nearly 800 prisoners occupy this division.
