Municipal in Paris Center (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements)

Who will be the first mayor of Paris Center? Ariel Weil (PS), the mayor of the 4th arrondissement, is the only one of the four former arrondissements to stand for re-election. He is opposed to two "walkers", the Paris deputy Pacôme Rupin (LREM) candidate from the list of Agnès Buzyn and Anne Lebreton, candidate from the Villani list. Right, Aurélien Véron (LR) from the Dati list takes over from the outgoing mayor of 1st Jean-François Legaret (ex-LR). There is also a candidate (Free!) Michaël Bullara. On the ecological side, it is Raphaëlle Rémy-Leleu who leads the list of David Belliard in the borough. In all 10 lists are in the running.

At the head of the town hall of the 6th district since 1994, Jean-Pierre Lecoq (LR) sets out again to the battle with, in front of him, a completely renewed political landscape and not less than nine lists. LREM has ambitions in this arrondissement. Gaspard Gantzer, who joined Agnès Buzyn, is the head of the list of the presidential party while Olivia Andrez defends the Villani list. On the left, Céline Hervieu (PS) defends the Hidalgo list and Antoinette Kiss (EELV) defends the Belliard list.

Municipal in the 7th arrondissement of Paris

Head of list of the right in Paris, Rachida Dati has been the LR mayor of the 7th district since 2008. In her stronghold, she faces candidates who are well established locally, such as Alexandre Missoffe (LREM, Buzyn list), Jean-Sébastien Baschet (without label) or Valérie Lecasble (without label). She must also face the various right list of Jean-Sébastien Baschet, to Manon Laporte (ex-LR, on the Villani list). The left, which weighs little in this district, leaves behind Diana Filippova (PS, Hidalgo list) and Denis Gouzerh (EELV, Belliard list). In all 10 lists are in the running.

The campaign has turned to settling of accounts on the right in this district. The mayor (LR) Jeanne d'Hauteserre, elected since 2014, is challenged by part of her team who seceded. Eight other candidates will arbitrate the duel, including Sophie Segond (Buzyn list), Athénaïs Michel (Hidalgo list), Isabelle Bordry (Villani list) or Amandine Crambes-Richaud.

Led by the PS since 1995, this district is a bastion of the left. It is in this district that the decisive match will take place on the left. Anne Hidalgo finds herself facing David Belliard, the EELV leader. Until then, socialists and environmentalists were allies. The mayor (PS) of Paris is number 2 on the list, behind François Vauglin the outgoing mayor of the 11th. She also finds Rachida Dati's campaign director, Nelly Garnier (LR). There are nine other candidates, including Guillaume Poitoux (LREM, Buzyn list), Bouchra Nazzal (Villani list) and Jacques Lefort (LR dissident).

In this strategic district, on the left since 2001, Anne Hildalgo's first deputy (PS), Emmanuel Grégoire confronts Sandrine Mazetier, former PS deputy who moved to En Marche and candidate on the Buzyn list. Valérie Montandon (LR, Dati list), already a candidate in 2014, is in ambush. Among the 6 other candidates, Emmanuelle Pierre-Marie (EELV, Belliard list) or Patrick Rebourg (Villani list), a newcomer to politics who manages a bar-restaurant and a neighborhood grocery store.

Mayor since 2001, Jérôme Coumet (DVG, Hidalgo list) is a candidate for a fourth mandate in this district which seems to be taken for granted on the left. But there are ten candidates hoping to shake it. Left, with Raphaël Qnouch (LFI, Simonnet list) and ecologist Anne Souyris (Belliard list). In the center with Chang Hua Peng (LREM, Buzyn list), Amir Ben Merzoug (Villani list) or even Marie-Sophie Zentar (Parisiennes, Parisiens). And on the right, Jean-Baptiste Olivier (LR, Dati list) who believes that he is the only one who has a chance to beat the outgoing mayor.

It is perhaps here that the mayor's armchair of Paris will be played. Because in this bastion of the left for almost 20 years, where Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, head of the list of the right in 2014, had chosen to run, LREM and its ally the MoDem have outstripped the PS in the legislative elections of 2017 as in the Europeans last year. The outgoing mayor (PS) Carine Petit intends, however, to be re-elected for a second term. Faced with her, Cédric Villani who leads the dissident LREM list and Eric Azière (LREM) for the Buzyn list who is in 2nd position on his list Secretary of State Marlène Schiappa. The right bet on Marie-Claire Carrère-Gée (LR) and the ecologists on Florentin Letissier. There are 11 candidates in all.

It is the most populated district, the one that sends the largest number of elected officials to the Paris Council. A bastion of the right that LREM and the left dream of conquering. The fracture on the right could help them. The very established outgoing mayor Philippe Goujon (LR) who refused to support Rachida Dati was indeed not invested. Agnès Evren wears the official LR colors. To decide this fratricidal duel, seven candidates including Catherine Ibled (LREM,), Géraud Guibert (Villani list), Anouch Toranian (PS, Hidalgo list) or Aminata Niakate (EELV, Belliard list).

Municipal in the 16th arrondissement of Paris

In the 16th arrondissement, everything happens on the right. So much so that there are three candidates who claim to support Rachida Dati. There is the official candidate Francis Szpiner (LR), fully supported by the deputy and former mayor Claude Goasguen present on the list. He who gave up his chair in 2017 to his first assistant Danièle Giazzi because of multiple mandates describes it today as a "disaster". The interested, obviously candidate, does not care and leaves with on his list the former Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy. Finally, Senator Céline Boulay-Espéronnier has also assembled her list. Eight other candidates are added to this trio, including Hanna Sebbah (LREM, Buzyn list) who ... was elected LR for six years in the district.

In 2014, outgoing mayor Brigitte Kuster (UMP) was re-elected in the first round. In 2017, due to the multiple mandate (she is a member of parliament), she gave up her place to Geoffroy Boulard who is running for the first time as head of the list. And the game looks less easy for him because the borough has experienced major urban transformations and its population is more contrasted than before. The candidacy of Agnes Buzyn (LREM) could fold the cards and at least allow a second round, why not a triangular with the socialist Karen Taïeb (Hidalgo list). Seven other candidates will try to pull out of the game.

The 17th arrondissement sends 12 elected officials to the Paris Council.

Is this left stronghold threatened? Eric Lejoindre (PS, Hidalgo list), who easily won in the second round in 2014, is disputed. Environmentalists, largely in the lead here during the Europeans, are aiming for the second round with Anne-Claire Boux. LREM (Buzyn list) relies on the traditional opponent Pierre-Yves Bournazel, who had reached the second round, for the right, six years ago. The right is divided with Rudolph Granier (Dati list) and Pierre Liscia (DVD). Two media personalities are added: Vikash Dhorasoo, the former footballer, candidate France rebellious on the list Simonnet and Marcel Campion, the showman, who presents lists in all the districts and chose the 18th to appear. In all, 13 lists are in the running.

On the left by the ecologist Dan Lert (Belliard list) and Sarah Legrain (LFI, Danielle Simonnet list). In the center by Olivier Rouxel (LREM, Buzyn list) and Paula Forteza (Villani list). Right by Marie Toubiana (LR, Dati list).

Easily re-elected in 2014, Frédérique Calandra, former assistant to Bertrand Delanoë, left the PS with a bang to join LREM last October. The woman who always calls herself a leftist is a candidate for a third mandate for the Buzyn list. Faced with it, the Hidalgo list has invested Eric Pliez, the former president of Samu social. In this district traditionally acquired on the left, the environmentalists behind Antoinette Guhl (Belliard list) hope to make a good score and Danielle Simonnet, the leader of rebellious France aims the second round as in 2014. The right leaves behind François-Marie Didier (Dati list). In all, 11 lists are in the running.
