Aleppo City Council takes preventive measures to tackle Corona virus

The Aleppo City Council has taken a set of precautionary measures to tackle the Corona virus by conducting hygiene and sterilization campaigns in the main streets, public squares and popular neighborhoods, and tightening control over the owners of food, meat and barber shops.

Dr. Maad Al-Madlaji, head of the Aleppo City Council, said in a statement to a SANA reporter that preventive measures were taken to address the Corona virus and the full alert of the directorates of hygiene and health affairs to conduct cleanliness and sterilization campaigns in public and tourist facilities, hospitals, parks, fuel stations and university housing.

The SANA camera monitored the hygiene and sterilization campaign. Ibrahim Ibrahim, director of health affairs, stated that the directorate intensified its tour of its agents on the markets to monitor food and meat and food stores, and to ensure the extent of its commitment to hygiene and sterilization instructions, and prevent the sale of exposed foods and the necessity of wearing masks and gloves for its workers with a complete readiness to receive all Brothers' complaints.

Ibrahim pointed out that the Directorate is working to spread awareness among citizens to address the Corona virus by washing hands well with water and soap, using sterilizers and antiseptics regularly, avoiding contact with the face with hands, using tissues when coughing and sneezing, eating hot drinks and avoiding being in crowded places and gatherings.

A number of citizens indicated that they are satisfied with the seriousness of the measures taken and which they have touched while shopping from food and food stores, stressing the need to continue them while maintaining personal hygiene and avoiding gatherings.
