The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced today the elimination of six terrorists in targeting a den of them in the Abu Shilla area, North Sinai.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior stated that the National Security Sector obtained information regarding the hiding of a group of terrorist elements in a house under construction on the Abu Shilla road branching from the coastal road in Bir al-Abed in North Sinai and taking it as a den and a launch center for carrying out their hostilities.
The statement added that the terrorist hiding area was targeted and the exchange of gunfire resulted in the killing of six of them, and found a number of automatic weapons and explosive devices in their possession.
Since February 2018, the Egyptian security forces have been waging an intense military operation to eliminate terrorist organizations in the Sinai, killing and arresting hundreds of them.
