The 2020 municipal council election in Odelzhausen delivered some surprises.
Odelzhausen - The 2020 municipal council election in Odelzhausen delivered some surprises. So Ursula Kohn did not make it into the committee. It started at number three on the BGO list, but only ended up in seventh place after votes. That was not enough to move back in. Because only six seats go to the BGO.
Free voter veteran Dr. Willi Wegele is also outside after many years. However, he had placed himself at the bottom of the list at the nomination meeting because he wanted to give young candidates a chance, as he said. Wegele received 480 votes, which meant he was voted up from 20th to 12th place. Five seats go to the free voters.
Among them are Edgar Hiller Edgar and Robert Wohlmuth. The two men were previously local spokesmen for Taxa and Sittenbach.
The AfD ran for the first time in local elections - in the city of Dachau and in the municipality of Odelzhausen. Dietmar Renner made it into the local council. The local association Odelzhausen had hoped for a better result, the goal was two to three seats.
The SPD has lost a seat: top candidate Dr. Brigitte Inderst is now outside. Veit Winkler is a very young Social Democratic candidate. Winkler is only 24. He received 497 votes, 41 more than Inderst, who had led the SPD candidate list.
The CSU Odelzhausen won on election Sunday. In the new municipal council, the Christian Socials have seven instead of five members. Michaela Brandhofer, Robert Arzberger and Siegfried Kreppold are new to the group.
The BGO has also gained two council seats compared to 2014. Maria Winkler Maria, Manfred Weyerer and Angelika Aigner are new.
The percentages of votes: CSU 33.1, BGO 27.1, free voters 26.7, AfD 6.6, SPD 6.5. The turnout was 55.5 percent.
