Zhang Zhujun: No virus at the moment of entry does not mean that there is no need for home quarantine after entry

Zhang Zhujun said that she understands that many international students are returning to Hong Kong. She reminded those with symptoms that they should seek medical treatment as soon as possible. "Because I know the situation on the plane will suddenly worsen, and it will also bring risks to other people on the plane. "She continued, when returning to Hong Kong with no illness, students should pay attention to personal hygiene, and they should be extra careful when using the toilet and using public facilities and wash their hands frequently.

As for whether virus detection will be strengthened at the airport, Zhang Zhujun said that the government is still discussing details, including many challenges, including detection methods and insufficient airport places to allow multiple people to stay. She said that even if a foreign student has a negative result on the day of entry, or because it is only in the incubation period, it does not mean that he will not get sick later, so arranging 14 days home quarantine is the most suitable method.
