Eng. As for the artificial afforestation of the current season, Fendi indicated that there is no plan for renewal, while 12 hectares were restored and patched, with a rate of 92 percent of the plan, while straw and forest protection lines will start in the fifth month within a plan that includes 495 km. In the field of education and development, the work carried out since The beginning of the season: 33 hectares, with a quantity of 2.1 tons of wood, in addition to 9.9 tons of firewood distributed to 16 families.
For his part, the head of the Federation of Homs farmers, Yahya al-Sakka, drew attention to the measures taken to protect the forest wealth from encroachments, including asking the agricultural associations and associations to preserve them, and to organize awareness seminars and meetings to learn about the reality of this wealth in the forest areas and the measures that are taken by the extension units and peasant associations in this field and to undertake On field trips and communicating with those concerned regarding stopping the aggressions on forests, in cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture.
