Dietramszell - Big winner of the local council election in Dietramszell is the Free Voting Community Dietramszell (FWD): In future they will have seven instead of four local councilors - plus, as reported, the new mayor Josef Hauser. This makes it the strongest group for the first time in the coming term. The Greens can also be satisfied with their result. After all, they increased the number of their councils by 50 percent from two to three. The CSU lost two seats and, with six representatives, is now only the second strongest faction. The Citizens List (BLD) also lost two seats.

There are also some changes in the body in terms of personnel. Eleven of the 20 councilors are new faces. The average age should have decreased significantly. For example, Teresa Wimmer (22) and Maria Spindler (35) from the Greens, as well as Elisabeth Disl (24, FWD), Ludwig Gröbmaier (33, CSU) and Xaver Huber (34, BLD) ensure “fresh blood”.

The king of votes is Thomas Kranz

The most popular candidates among the voters were the incumbent municipal councilor Thomas Kranz with 2215 votes and "newcomer" Elisabeth Disl with 2082 votes, both from the FWD. Third sovereign Michael Häsch (CSU) followed in favor of the sovereign with 2056 votes. His party colleague and candidate for mayor Ludwig Gröbmaier, comparatively relegated to seventh place, whom 1586 citizens wished for in the committee.

Many voters used the opportunity to distribute their total of 20 crosses individually to different election proposals. As a result, some of the candidates placed at the bottom of the list surprisingly moved into the panel. Matthias Gams, for example, collected 964 votes in 12th place and thus secured the fourth mandate of the BLD. He clearly overtook the previous municipal councils Johannes Seestaller, Christa Poschenrieder and Ronald Künemund in seventh, eighth and nineth place. Mayor Leni Groebmaier had retired from local politics for private reasons.

CSU: The first five candidates are there

Only the CSU voters largely followed their party's nomination. Here at least the first five candidates on the list moved safely into the municipal council. Only Rudi Raßhofer from ninth mixed up the order: he worked his way up to second with 1,685 votes. The Robert Schmid and Hans Benno Suttner placed in front of him flew out; Stephan Ailler, Josef Werberger and Josef Rothbauer stopped competing.

3191 Dietramszell voters cast a total of 58 887 valid votes on Sunday. This corresponds to a turnout of 72 percent - almost six percentage points more than six years ago. About two thirds voted by postal vote. The FWD received 19 922 votes (34 percent), the CSU 17 686 (30 percent), the BLD 12 304 (21 percent) and the Greens 8975 (15 percent). When counting the postal voting documents, there were "technical difficulties" with the barcode reader and the transmission of the data, reported Stephanie Rehmer from the Ordnungsamt. Therefore, the evaluation of the municipal council election in Dietramszell lasted until late in the afternoon.
