It would be "premature" to postpone the Tokyo Olympics in July-August, despite the coronavirus pandemic, said President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach in an interview with the New York Times.

"For us, it would not be responsible today and it would be premature to leave in speculations and to make a decision" , explained Mr. Bach. “We don't know what the situation will be. Of course we are looking at several scenarios ” .
