Peiting - The Corona crisis hits retailers in Peiting hard. Businesses that are not "systemically important" have to close their doors. Which also means running costs for at least two weeks, but no income. Nevertheless, the Peitinger retailers do not want to be put down and have devised various services so that they can continue to serve their customers.

At Orthopaedie and Schuh Haslauer, for example, the shoe store is closed, but orthopedic technology continues with limited opening hours. Recipes can be left in the mailbox, Markus Haslauer will then contact you by phone to make an appointment.

The shop next door at Uhren & Schmuck Obermaier is also closed, but the optics business continues. The shops "Kids & Style" and "Betten & Mode Weissenbach" are also closed on the main square. Betten & Mode Weissenbach can be reached by mail and phone for customers.

The Hirschvogel kitchen house has also closed its shop and can only be reached by phone for appointments. At Optik Bock, operations will continue as normal for the time being. "However, we ask you, for your and our protection, to adhere to the hygiene and behavior rules of the Federal Ministry of Health. We wish everyone a lot of health and together we will master this extraordinary situation, ”says the company's Facebook page.

Purchase via online shop

At the bookshop on the stream, the business continues at the usual opening hours. According to Stefanie Bertram-Kempf, this is possible because a post office is integrated in the shop. However, it also offers all customers shopping via its own online shop and, by arrangement, delivers orders made by phone for customers who are unable to come to the store, even at home. Students should not be left without notebooks and other writing utensils.

Opposite to Köpf Audio-TV-Video, the shop remains closed, but the service in the workshop continues. Leinauer's Blume and the Gärtnerei Leinauer are also creative in the crisis: customers can help themselves and pay for the goods at a checkout counter. "We trust our customers blindly," it says. Special requests or orders can be processed customer-friendly via email or WhatsApp.

"It's so sad," says a customer who fetches a flower pot for the garden. But she also thinks it is important to support local specialist retailers.

This is what the specialist dealers, who have to put up with losses as a result of the corona crisis, also want. “A wish on my part: If you stay at home a lot in the next few weeks, don't buy your clothes and other things online. Wait for our retailers and regional shops to open again and then help them to overcome this crisis with your purchases, ”it says in many places.
