A tribute ceremony was observed this Monday morning March 23 at the hospital of Compiègne where worked the doctor who died yesterday of the coronavirus. A minute of silence was observed.

Jean-Jacques Razafindranazy, 68, was an emergency doctor at the University of Oise CHU. He had taken charge of the first patients with coronavirus. It was reached in early March. He died after his transfer to the Lille hospital center.
The Minister of Health Olivier Véran joined " the pain of the family ", and noted the " very heavy price paid by the large family of doctors today ".
One of his sons paid tribute to him on Facebook on Sunday: " My father, this hero, a Compiègne emergency doctor, left too quickly because of the coronavirus, " he wrote. " Passionate about his work, he did not retire (...) He was coming back from vacation from Madagascar, in great shape, but the Covid-19 was stronger ", he continued, inciting the French stay home to prevent the spread of the virus.
Two other doctors from Haut-Rhin and Moselle died this weekend from contamination.
