Now the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) and the National Association of Health Insurance Funds have agreed on the extension, as the KBV announced on Tuesday in Berlin. A 14-day certificate of incapacity to work is possible if there is a suspicion of an infection with the corona virus. "The prerequisite is always that there are slight complaints of the upper respiratory tract."
If a coronavirus test is to be done, the doctor should tell the patient where they can be tested. In some regions, patients need referral for the exam. This should send the practice by post. If the patients feel worse, they should go to the doctor after registering by phone. The possibility of two-week sick leave is initially limited until June 23.
