The number of people killed by the coronavirus went up Tuesday in Italy, with 743 dead, after two days of decline, but the contagion seems to confirm its slowdown, according to the results of civil protection.

This report shows an increase of 8% of cases with nearly 70,000 in total, as on Monday, the lowest rates since the arrival of the pandemic in Italy. Lombardy, in the north of the country, remains the most affected region with 4178 deaths out of a total of 6820 registered in the country to date, followed by Emilia-Romagna with 985 deaths.

Now all Italian regions are in mourning since the little Basilicata in the south which has just over 500,000 inhabitants, recorded its first death on Monday.
