Rapper Sadek, who had beaten blogger Bassem Braïki with accomplices in February, was released on Thursday from Saint-Quentin-Fallavier prison (Isère) and placed under judicial supervision. The end of his pre-trial detention is unrelated to the epidemic context, according to his lawyer Me Arié Alimi. In fact, Sadek had appealed from his remand placement since his incarceration in mid-February. The investigating chamber of the Lyon Court of Appeal then asked for a study on the feasibility of an electronic bracelet.

Bassem Braïki was assaulted in mid-February in Vénissieux by Sadek and several accomplices - a scene filmed on the phone and posted online - who had inflicted on the blogger wounds on the face and on the skull which led to five days of temporary interruption of work (ITT). The rapper had also shared a photo of him on his bloodied hand on Twitter before posting a video on Instagram a little later, in which he explained that he had “yielded to violence, hatred like a fool” , while saying to himself ready to "pay" .
