It is now very easy to support the Freising retailers in the Corona crisis: customers can buy vouchers on the new ladenretter.de website and thus become a savior.

Freising - Retailers are particularly hard hit by the current situation. To make sure that the Freisingen shops survive the Corona crisis, customers and anyone who wants to help can now support their favorite shops online and become a shop saver - with vouchers.

Buy a voucher, help immediately

Samuel Kabitzky, Abdullah Cetinbag and Thorsten Schnurawa, who, as reported, founded the “Spondeals” app some time ago and want to make the retail trade in Freiburg more lively and digital have now become creative again: They launched the ladenretter.de website. There - currently divided into the three categories "shopping", "food" and "wellbeing" - 48 Freising shops are currently closed, which are forced to close or only work on a back burner with "to go" offers.

It is easy to support local companies: you simply buy a voucher of the desired value. "It's about emergency aid, the shops need the money as soon as possible," Kabitzky says in the FT interview. Ladenretter.de help uncomplicated. As with an online shop, companies would not have to first list all products, but only offer vouchers. "They are a kind of direct loan that customers can redeem when the situation has normalized again." The voucher was bought on the website and sent to the customer by email.

"Using the site costs nothing"

The project started on Wednesday, and it has already started well. "The reactions of the companies were also very positive," says Kabitzky. Several cities and purchasing associations have already made inquiries. "But we clearly say that we will initially concentrate on Freising and Haar - the cities in which we are also active with our Spondeals app." Every retailer can participate. “Using the site costs nothing. However, we charge a five percent commission per voucher so that we can cover the bank’s transaction costs. ”

The idea came to the three developers quickly. "We wanted something to support the retailers now that they could make the leap to digitalization." The key was a common platform - "and the vouchers the common denominator". However, that is only the first stage. A site on which companies can post individual products as in an online shop is being planned. "The vouchers remain an essential part."
