In a press conference on Tuesday, Bayerstorfer announced that "patients had been taken over" from the cathedral city because the capacities there were no longer sufficient. Bayerstorfer had also said that Erding had to support the districts of Freising and Ebersberg. "We work closely with all clinics in the region," said Holzner. If there are patient transfers between these in individual cases, it is always "a matter of making individual decisions on the optimal further treatment of the seriously ill, mutual help, especially in intensive care places, has always been a practice". Holzner's appeal: "The smooth and highly professional as well as collegial, overarching cooperation within the three equal districts of the rescue association should not be affected by such campaign-driven statements."

How the situation in the region will develop in the coming weeks is uncertain. The clinic, the district and the civil protection department work closely together to ensure the best possible care for the sick - and this is not at risk, says Freising's district administrator Josef Hauner. At the Freising Clinic, up to 108 beds are currently operating in isolation stations on two levels. There is also a separate isolation intensive care unit with up to 16 intensive care units with ventilation options. According to managing director Holzner, other areas from normal operation could "be converted at any time to care for infected people". In addition, there was room for another 90 patients.
According to Hauner, in the event of a massive spread of the pandemic, people are now planning to accommodate infected people in hotels. “From a medical point of view, this is the better solution because it isolates patients.
