Within the framework of government measures to tackle the Corona virus, the University of Aleppo has equipped three centers for stone and medical isolation in Aleppo University Hospitals, University Cardiology and Surgery, and the first residential unit in the University City.

The SANA camera was briefed on the precautionary measures taken in the three health centers and the extent of their equipping with the family, medical techniques, treatment drugs and qualified personnel.

And Dr. Manaf Sharbati, head of physicians residing in the University Hospital of Aleppo, told a SANA reporter that a medical unit has been set up for the screening and reception in the outpatient ward to receive patients consisting of rooms for examining patients, in addition to the two masses of radiology and the second of the laboratory, as well as an axial layer device.

Sharbati explained that after the patient's examinations are done well by the specialist doctors, the patients are sorted according to their cases, if they are light and simple, they are presented with a prescription, take them out to the house, and provide them with the required medical instructions. As for the patients with high risk and suspects, a isolation suite of 50 beds was added in addition to Intensive care division equipped with 20 artificial respirators for adults and seven artificial respirators for children to receive patients over 24 hours.

In turn, Dr. Sahar Saeed, the specialist in internal and cardiovascular diseases, head of the outpatient clinics at the University Hospital of Aleppo, explained that a section in the outpatient clinics has been designated to receive patients and is isolated from the hospital and has been provided with an integrated medical staff and laboratory and imaging devices where patients are examined and sorted according to their cases and transferred in case of suspicion in any case to The stone department is a sign pointing to the sterilization procedures and the hospital's readiness to receive any condition.

For his part, Dr. Tamim Azzawi, Director of the University Hospital for Diseases and Surgery at the University, pointed out that two floors were equipped within the first hospital for stone and the second for isolation with 11 beds equipped with intense care and 32 beds between isolation and a stone to be a synonym for the University Hospital of Aleppo and the possibility of occupying the hospital completely so that cases are transferred to a hospital Heart diseases and surgery and the necessary medical personnel have been secured.

For his part, Director of the University City, Hassan Qanatji, explained that a center has been allocated for medical isolation in the first housing unit, which includes 390 beds spread over 195 rooms, and that work is underway to equip the first and second floors and provide them with all the requirements for accommodation and insulation.
