The outbreak of new coronavirus pneumonia (commonly known as Wuhan pneumonia) has continued, with more than 400 confirmed cases in Hong Kong so far. The Legislative Council will adopt special interview arrangements in response to the epidemic situation, including the need for the media entering the Legislative Council building to wear surgical masks and open the seat of the reporter's room.

The Legislative Council stated that in order to facilitate media interviews in the Legislative Council building and to minimize the risk of viral media, the Legislative Council Secretariat strongly advised media organizations to reduce the number of people assigned to interview in the building and implement a series of special arrangements.
