Executive Council Member and Member of the Legislative Council of the Catering Industry Zhang Yuren said today (27th) that the industry will take eight measures from tomorrow (28th) on its own initiative, including halving the seats in each restaurant and promoting take-out after 6pm. Discounts, temperature measurements for customers before seating, bars will not arrange live performances, and will not receive people wearing quarantine bracelets, etc. It is expected that more than 10,000 restaurants, bars and entertainment venues will respond and support for two weeks.

Zhang Yuren said that the industry originally intended to take relevant measures next Monday, but due to the enthusiastic response, it could be implemented early tomorrow, and said that the measures have been supported by the four major tea restaurant groups and the three major fast food groups.
Zhang Yuren urged the government to pay rents, employee remuneration, and exemption from paying rates for the industry in the next two weeks, and urged landlords to waive rent during this period.
