A rocket was fired Friday evening from the Gaza Strip on southern Israel, resulting in the shelter of the population, said the Israeli army.

In late February, the Islamic Jihad fired more than 80 rockets into Israel after the Israeli army killed a fighter in the group accused of attempting to place an explosive device near the fence separating Israel from the Gaza Strip.
