A slight tremor measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck at a depth of 20 km off the Syrian coast at the "Lebanese-Syrian borders".
And the National Seismological Center said in a statement that Sana received a copy of it that the tremor occurred at two and 21 minutes at dawn today local time and is 53 km west of the city of Tartus and did not cause any damage.
A strong earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale and with a depth of 10 km was observed on the 24th of last January near the Syrian-Turkish border, particularly near "Gaziantep" and was felt in most of the Syrian Arab Republic.
