The confinement imposed in Belgium to stem the spread of the new coronavirus has been extended by two weeks until the weekend of 18-19 April, several political officials announced on the public channel RTBF after a new meeting of crisis.
These severe travel restrictions, imposed since March 18, were initially in effect until April 5. Their extension was decided at a new meeting of the National Security Council, bringing together the main ministers and presidents of federated entities around Prime Minister Sophie Wilmès.
