French health authorities announced a significant daily increase in the number of deaths from the Corona virus, which reached 299 cases.

The director of the Health Agency in France, Jerome Solomon, said that the total deaths due to the virus increased to 1995 deaths, while the number of infections increased to 32,964, up 13 percent within 24 hours.

In addition, the French government decided to extend the "general national closure" for two weeks until April 15.

In Ireland, the Ministry of Health announced that the total number of cases of coronavirus rose to 2121 from 1819 the day before, while three other patients died, bringing the number of deaths to 22.

In Portugal, the number of deaths from the Corona virus reached 76, while the total infections rose to 4,268, after monitoring 724 new cases during the past 24 hours.

In Turkey, the death toll from the Coruna virus rose 17 people to 92, while the number of infections reached 5698 after 2069 new cases were detected.

In Jordan, the health authorities announced the registration of the first death of HIV infection for a woman in the eighties, indicating that the number of new cases rose by 23, bringing the total to 235 cases.

For its part, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced 11 new deaths from the Corona virus, bringing the number of deaths to 21, while 58 new cases were recorded, for a total of 333 cases.

In Egypt, 41 new cases of coronavirus and 6 deaths were recorded, while in Algeria, one death and 42 new infections were recorded.

In the context of the measures taken by the countries of the world to confront the accelerating spread of the Corona virus, the Finnish government announced the closure of roads leading to the capital Helsinki after recording seven deaths and 1025 cases, while the Belgian authorities decided to extend the general closure until April 18 after the number of confirmed cases of the virus exceeded 7000 cases.
