Damascus-Sana
Today, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection asked its directorates in all governorates to tighten control over the “wholesale and retail” markets, the materials and goods offered therein, and to control violations related to the increase in prices or the handling and possession of bills, or related to material specifications, powers and regulations.
In a circular to its directorates, SANA received a copy of it today called on consumer protection patrols to work to immediately close the violating commercial activities and inform the ministry of the procedures in succession.
The ministry had mobilized its patrols around the clock to tighten market supervision and control any case of price manipulation or violation of food and consumer specifications in parallel with the implementation of the Cabinet’s decision to close markets and commercial activities with the exception of food and catering centers and stores, pharmacies and private health centers.
