The corona virus has a firm grip on the Miesbach district. Many stores had to close temporarily.

Like retail, catering and the hotel industry are struggling to survive. The big problem: How can you generate sales if you are not allowed to unlock? Waiting for better times is not a solution because income is now needed.

New platform www.jetzt-zamhelfen.eu

The location marketing company (SMG) of the Miesbach district wants to help the economy - with the new homepage www.jetzt-zamhelfen.eu. It is intended to provide an overview of the new offers on site in the corona crisis.

The homepage was launched by the inter-regional network association Coworkation Alps, which, together with the Miesbacher corporate design agency Gipfelformer and SMG, launched this platform, which should make it possible to shop in local companies despite the Corona crisis. But how can you make money despite closed companies? The solution is: vouchers.

Via the website jetzt-zamhelfen.eu, requests for vouchers can be sent to companies in the entire Alpine region and redeemed after the crisis. This is how companies should be able to continue their business despite the compulsory break.

Help in difficult times

"We want to help companies and tradesmen to get through this difficult time," says SMG Managing Director Alexander Schmid. They were in contact with each other via the coworking network, and this was how they became aware of this idea from East Tyrol. This homepage was created within a few days - on a voluntary basis, as Schmid emphasizes: "We want to make such a contribution."

And this is how it works: Local businesses from the trades, retail, gastronomy and hotel industry as well as services can register for free on jetzt-zamhelfen.eu using the registration form. Visitors select their preferred region and a suitable company on the website in order to make a request for a voucher via the website. With just a few clicks, a pre-formulated email can be used to contact us directly. Users only have to enter the corresponding amount for their voucher and click on "Send". Subsequently, the voucher buyers will receive an email from the requested company with the invoice, the payment modalities and the voucher, which can be redeemed later.

The neighboring district is also represented in the Oberland

The fact that the portal covers a fairly large geographical area is no harm, according to Schmid: “We simply want to show solidarity internationally. Willingness and demand are great to help companies. ”The district of Miesbach is grouped together with Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen under“ Bavarian Oberland ”. Schmid can also envisage adding the district of Rosenheim.

But the homepage is not the only field of activity for the SMG in the crisis. "We have pooled our strength and subtracted from projects that are currently dormant," explains Schmid. The aim at the moment is to collect information relevant to the economy and to provide it in a well-structured manner on the SMG homepage. You also contact the individual companies to inquire about the current situation. The situation is not new for some companies, says Schmid: "China exporters have had to cope with cuts for a long time because of the corona virus."

SMG also works closely with its partner, the Miesbach entrepreneurs' association. The deputy chairman Anton Stetter's main concern is to avoid layoffs: "Solidarity between companies and employees is required here."
