Chinese health authorities announced today that no new cases of localized infection with the Corona virus had been registered on the Chinese mainland yesterday.
Xinhua reported that the National Health Commission received reports of 54 new confirmed cases of the virus on the Chinese mainland, all of which were from abroad, noting that of these cases, 17 were registered in Shanghai, 11 in Guangdong Province, 6 in Fujian Province, 5 in Tianjin Municipality and 4 In Zhejiang Province, 3 in Beijing and Liaoning Province, 2 in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Jilin Province, and one in Shandong Province, bringing the registered incidence cases to 649 as of the end of yesterday.
The committee indicated that three new deaths and 29 new suspected cases were recorded on the Chinese mainland, while all deaths were in Hubei Province, 383 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery, and the number of serious cases decreased by 113 to 921.
The committee pointed out that the total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland since the outbreak of the virus was 81,394, including 3,128 patients still receiving treatment, 74,971 were discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 3,295 died from the disease, while 184 people were still suspected of contracting the virus.
518 confirmed cases were recorded, including four deaths in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, 34 confirmed cases in the Macao Special Administrative Region and 267 cases, including two deaths in Taiwan, a total of 111 patients were discharged from hospitals in Hong Kong, 10 in Macau and 30 in Taiwan, after Recovering.
