The circulation of rumors and false information about the Corona virus on the social media pages is considered a fertile environment for this in order to gain likes regardless of the harm it causes to the Syrians who receive, share and adopt them sometimes without making sure of its source, ignoring the negative psychological impact it causes on their health.

Despite all the recommendations that indicate the relationship of the psychological state and tension with reducing the body's immunity, some still continue to circulate fabricated news, pictures and phonograms that are not based on reliable sources without realizing the extent of the damage they cause or any sense of responsibility, which prompted the Ministry of Interior to confirm that it will monitor And it follows everyone who publishes false and fabricated news about the Corona virus, chasing them and taking the necessary legal measures against them.

Exposure to rumors and fabricated news leads to a state of psychological pressure and tension, according to what the Director of Mental Diseases at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Amal Kacho told SANA, pointing to the importance of not being led by such news that aims to spread fear and panic in the soul.

On the reactions and behaviors that result from the rumors, Dr. Amal mentioned that they are listed according to behavioral symptoms such as increased smoking, tantrums, difficulty in relaxing, sleeping, tendency to cry repeatedly or blaming others, and physical symptoms such as headache, intestinal cramps, and loss of or anorexia.

The rumors, according to Dr. Amal, can turn a person's life into a cycle of anxiety and depression, which drives him to act anger and distraction, in addition to indifference, difficulty in making decisions, problems with memory and lack of focus, and that would also negatively affect the immune system.

Dr. Amal advised to maintain mental health by practicing physical and mental exercises, relaxing, reading books and magazines, setting certain times to read and watch the news, and not being led by rumors and obtaining facts from their sources.

With the chaos of information and rumors circulating on Facebook, it is necessary to question any unofficial information, whatever its source, and to obtain reliable information from its official sources only, which are represented by the Ministries of Health and Information and the Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, since they are the only reference to any news related to the Corona virus in Syria, which is confirmed by the two ministries. Interior and health constantly.
