Corona virus in the valley: "Stupid Munich woman" - woman badly insulted at Rottacher supermarket

Rottach-Egern - This scene still makes a second-home owner from Rottach-Egern shudder: When shopping in a Rottach grocery store, she was insulted as a "stupid Munich woman" who bought the supermarkets empty here. Her car - with the license plate of Munich - did not get off scot-free either: As the woman reports, the car had apparently been pelted with a yoghurt mug or something similar - at least it showed signs of it.

Corona virus on Tegernsee: Munich resident in Rottach-Egern wants to remain anonymous - for fear of attacks

The Munich woman, who does not want to give her name for fear of further attacks, has reported the incident to Tegernsee Mayor Johannes Hagn (CSU). With his appeal that no more Munich day trippers were allowed into the Tegernsee valley, this had triggered a sharp, emotional debate.

"People now feel legitimate to create a mood against Munich," says the mother, who regularly spends time with her family in the second apartment on Lake Tegernsee, alluding to Hagn's letter of fire. The Tegernsee town hall chief had asked the constituency member and president of the state parliament, Ilse Aigner, to ensure that people were only allowed to stay in their own districts. He wrote verbatim: "I honestly don't know who should clear the dirt behind the 'Munich'."

Munich woman in Rottach-Egern berated - Tegernsee Mayor Hagn with drastic words

The mayor still stands by his clear words ("I have a responsibility for my Tegernsee citizens, especially the older ones") - however he strongly condemns the incident described by the owner of the second home. "If there are fools who believe that they have to piss on someone because of their characteristics, then it should be said clearly: If I catch someone like that, I will report them to him," said Hagn, after hearing about the incident and other similar insults. It is important to put a stop to such attacks immediately, the mayor explains. "Resist the beginnings!"

In Hagn's eyes, the fact that he had chosen a drastic wording in his - otherwise unsuccessful - appeal to Ilse Aigner is still justified. "We need this discussion." The building yards are already overloaded. "What should we do if we can only open one or two toilets, don't have enough disinfectant, and then 200 people come?" Asks Hagn. Incidentally, similar demands have already been made by other tourist-oriented districts, Hagn emphasizes. The point is that the people who live and work in the Tegernsee valley could do so in peace even during the Corona crisis.

Hagn has already personally contacted the second resident from Rottach-Egern and explained his attitude to her.
