In times of Corona, her daughter wanted to make her happy. In the meantime, two cardboard signs and a sign adorned the entrance to Traudl Hölch's garden. But the case had a moving end.

  • In times of Corona, encouragement is good.
  • However, Traudl Hölch is sad - she was stolen.
  • A picture of her front yard is currently the eye-catcher in Starnberg.

Update Saturday, March 28th:

First sadness, then great joy: Traudl Hölch from Starnberg has got back one of her missing flower pots - and two more were given to her by Mayor Eva John. "I had tears in my eyes," says the 89-year-old. Hölch's daughter Ursula had given her two flower pots last Thursday, planted with primroses, hyacinths and violets, among others. The two 25-centimeter pots stood to the left and right of the garden gate on Von-der-Tann-Strasse, but not for long: they were gone, stolen or removed for the fun of the destruction on Friday. "Who does something like that?" Asks Traudl Hölch.

This question remains unanswered, but the daughter's original idea of using cardboard signs to point out the crime did something. "I got one back," Traudl Hölch reported yesterday to Starnberg Mercury with great delight. A neighbor discovered one of the missing pots nearby and brought it back. The biggest surprise was the visit of a gardener who suddenly stood at the door of the 89-year-old. "I was very surprised," she says, because the gardener had two planted flower pots and a letter with him. Only a little skeptical, the Starnberg woman asked for the letter - it was from Mayor Eva John. She regretted, wrote the town hall manager, that the flowers had disappeared and that she wanted to help Traudl Hölch again with joy - and gave her two flower pots. The senior thinks it's really great: “A wonderful woman. This has never happened to me in the city. ”She expressly thanked everyone who had helped her.
