Iranian First Vice President Yitzhak Jahangiri affirmed today that the US embargo on Iran includes medicines and foodstuffs, contrary to what the United States and its officials claim.

Jahangiri said that, due to the embargo, Iran was resorting to "unusual ways of meeting its needs of medicines and commodities necessary for people."
In turn, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Kyanosh Jahanpur, confirmed that all treatment capabilities are available inside the country, according to international standards, despite the unjust US embargo.
He added, "Iran does not need foreign aid except intensive care room equipment, including beds and artificial respirators, to treat those infected with the Corona virus."
