Today, the Russian government announced that the Russian land border will be closed from March 30 until further notice to counter the outbreak of the Corona virus.
"It has ordered the restriction of movement in automobile, railway, pedestrian crossings and other border checkpoints, including the border with Belarus," TASS news agency quoted the government as saying in a statement.
The government mandated the Ministry of Transport, the Federal Security Service, customs, and the Federal Monitoring Authority to protect consumer rights by temporarily restricting traffic through all border crossings, including crossing points for pedestrians, cars, trains, and river crossings.
