In a statement to SANA, the writer Samer Ismail said, “The European Network for Drama Award is a tribute to the Syrian imagination, which I believe is in the process of searching for itself again after many years of unfair TV acquisition, and this can only be achieved by writing a fresh and current theatrical text. And he is able to engage with reality away from the dust of imported theatrical texts, which is an opportunity for our theatrical texts to reach foreign languages to receive the opportunity to be investigated by foreign artists after their translation.

Ismail stopped what he called (the Syrian intellectual tired of ruminating the texts of the library from theatrical literature), expressing his hope for the emergence of a new written insight that is able to address large segments of the public in various theaters of the world that is currently affected by the epidemic of the Corona virus, and closed the theaters of the earth and made displays on the World Wide Web and behind the walls Homes.

It is noteworthy that the International Ordram Prize is the second for the text of the play Fear (color correction) after he won the award for the best text in the 2018 Carthage Theater Festival and was presented to the National Theater in Damascus and a number of governorates, which is starring Miriana Maalouli and Youssef Al-Muqbel, who in turn won the Best Actor Award in Carthage.
