The Spanish Ministry of Health announced the registration of 838 new deaths from the newly created Coronavirus within 24 hours, in a new record count published today.
"The epidemic development seems to be stabilizing, it is even receding, but it should be remembered that our main problem now is to ensure that the intensive care units' energy is not depleted," the AP quoted director of the Emergency Health Center Fernando Simon as saying.
Simon pointed out that six of the 17 regions have reached their capacity limit and three are close to reaching it.
The number of confirmed injuries today is 78,797, while the new deaths raise the death toll to 6,528.
The Spanish authorities imposed one of the most stringent stone in the world since mid-March and extended it to the 11th of April.
For its part, the French authorities counted 292 additional deaths from the newly created Corona virus within 24 hours, raising the total death toll in this country to 2606, according to Director-General of Health Jerome Salomon.
According to the new toll, 19,354 injured people are in hospitals, among them 4,632 are in the recovery department, while seven thousand and 132 have been able to return to their homes.
The announced death toll includes only those who died in hospitals, which means that the actual number is still unknown.
