The Ministry of Energy released an update on fuel prices in Israel on Sunday, and starting at the beginning of April, the maximum price per liter of gasoline 95 octane lead-free at the self-service station (including VAT) should not exceed NIS 4.89.
This is a decrease of NIS 1.03 (17.4%) compared to the previous month, and the price is now the lowest since January 2009. The price for full service refueling will not exceed NIS 5.10, a decrease of 16.8% from the previous month.
The fall in fuel prices comes despite fuel marketing companies last week asking energy minister Yuval Steinitz to freeze gasoline prices to reduce their losses, say since the Corona crisis. It should be noted that prices are plummeting, at one level or another, all over the world.
Prices are expected to be updated at the gas stations on Tuesday, at 4 p.m.
