The rating of the head of state is up 11 points over a month and that of the Prime Minister by six points.

The popularity rating of Emmanuel Macron is up 11 points over a month and that of Edouard Philippe by six points, a likely consequence of the coronavirus crisis, according to an Ifop study in the JDD.

43% of French people say they are satisfied with the President of the Republic (36% " somewhat satisfied ", 7% " very satisfied "), against 32% at the end of February. This is its highest level since April 2018.

The Head of State earns points in all age categories, especially among those over 65 (+17). It also made a significant jump with sympathizers of the Republicans (from 29% favorable opinion to 56%) and EELV (from 26 to 40%).

Marine Le Pen voters in the first round of 2017 are now 30% satisfied, compared to 19% at the end of February.

The Prime Minister received 42% favorable opinions (36% " somewhat satisfied "), against 36% a month ago.

This poll follows the trend observed in several studies published this week, which found a " rallying of the French behind the executive in times of crisis ". A progression comparable to that of François Hollande after the attacks of 2015 and that of Jacques Chirac after those of September 11, 2001.

On the other hand, polls have shown that French confidence in the executive to face the coronavirus epidemic has dropped sharply for several days. The survey published in the JDD does not test this question.
