Wartenberg - The Wartenberg fire brigade had a rather unusual mission last Saturday: 26 Florians were 40 minutes busy capturing six trained llamas. The curious end went well.
“In Germany, there is an exit restriction on the occasion of the corona pandemic, which six lamas from Wartenberg did not seem to want to wait for to end. In addition, they disregarded the ban on the assembly and the six of them moved through the town at lunchtime without even keeping the necessary distance from each other, ”reports Josef Allwang from the fire brigade humorously. The animals' excursion ended at the small field, where they ultimately captured the weir and the owner.
Accompanied by the emergency services, the llamas were then led back to their enclosure across Wartenberg. "Now it remains to be examined whether the violation of the exit restriction and the ban on assembly still has consequences for the animals," jokes Allwang. He thinks: "It was a truly special effort in this tense time, which not only put a smile on the face of the fire brigade, but also some Wartenberg citizens."
