(CNN Business) - CNN presenter Chris Cuomo said Tuesday that he was diagnosed with covid-19.

Cuomo says he feels good and will continue to host his "Cuomo Prime Time" show at 9pm ET from his home.

"In these difficult times that seem to be getting more and more difficult and complicated every day, I discovered that I am positive for the coronavirus," Cuomo wrote in a message on Twitter.

"I have been exposed to people in the past few days who subsequently tested positive and had a fever, chills, and shortness of breath," he wrote. "I just hope I don't pass it on to the children and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this disease! ”

Cuomo most recently was at CNN's offices in the Hudson Yards neighborhood in New York last Friday. He hosted the show from home on Monday and interviewed his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The two exchanged fraternal jokes about where the presenter takes live shots.

Governor Cuomo spoke about the positive result of his brother's test at the New York State daily briefing on Tuesday.

"This virus is the great equalizer," he said. “My brother Chris is positive for coronavirus. I found out this morning. "

The governor said his brother Chris is his "best friend" and added a little of the kind jokes they are known for: "He is young; he is in good shape; It is strong, not as strong as you think, but ... It will be fine. "

The two brothers spoke on the phone early Tuesday. "He is now quarantined in the basement," said the governor. "But it's a lot of fun, he tells me, 'Not even the dogs will go down' to the basement."

This is the third case of coronavirus affecting the CNN workspace in New York. Employees were notified of another case in mid-March.

Like other media companies, CNN has implemented radical changes in response to the pandemic. The vast majority of CNN employees have been working from home for several weeks. The presenters have broadcast from small studios and home offices. And office spaces are regularly cleaned.
