According to District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer, only 15 new cases have become known since Monday afternoon. There are a total of 327 Covid-19 cases in the district. The number of patients treated in the hospital's isolation ward has also dropped from two to 26. However, according to the director of the hospital, Dr. Dirk charged the severity of the cases. Nine patients are treated in the intensive care unit, eight need artificial ventilation. However, three were taken over by other clinics.
However, it turned out that the second deceased Corona patient comes from the district - from Moosinning. The first casualty was a passenger who came through the airport.
All Erdinger communities affected by the disease
The new cases come from Berglern (4), Dorfen, Erding, Taufkirchen (2 each), Eitting, Finsing, Forstern, Pastetten and Walpertskirchen (1 each). This means that each of the 26 district municipalities is now affected by the lung disease. Most come from the city of Erding (111).
Bayerstorfer is satisfied with the development and the infection curve continues to flatten. "But our goal remains that the number of cases only doubles every ten days, at the moment there are six." He was "cautiously optimistic".
Emergency clinic in the air base: 160 additional ventilation options
The construction of the emergency clinic in the asylum waiting room continues. “It will be operational at the end of the week. However, we are not yet assuming that we will need them right away, ”said Dr. Andreas Donhauser, medical director of the disaster control management group. There is a ventilation option on each of the 160 beds for the time being.
A liaison doctor could now also be named. Coordination is carried out by the CSU district council and ENT specialist Dr. Thomas Bauer.
Simplification of diagnoses in old people's homes
The disaster management management group has improved corona diagnostics in old people's and nursing homes. On the phone, a doctor centrally indicates who should be smeared. This is then done by nurses. Taxis drive the samples to the screening points that they send to the laboratories.
The willingness to help continues, according to Bayerstorfer, currently mainly donations in kind for thousands of masks and face masks, among other things for homes and practices.
