Geretsried - Italian pizzas will soon be prepared where Renate Siebert once offered various types of tea. In its most recent meeting, the building committee approved a change of use for the currently empty retail store at 7 Karl-Lederer-Platz. “The pizza service can be moved in temporarily as part of the development plan,” explained City Construction Councilor Rainer Goldstein.

How long the fast food should remain is not yet clear. This was precisely what bothered Hans Hopfner (SPD), who was the only one who refused to give his approval. "If Karl-Lederer-Platz will be completed by the middle of the year, I won't find a pizza service in this premium location good," added the Vice Mayor when asked. Especially since the sandwich provider "Subway" is already a fast food restaurant in the immediate vicinity. Rainer Adamek from the Geretsried architecture firm Adamek & Hölzl confirmed to our newspaper that the KLP Projekt UG group of companies is sticking to its plans to demolish the old building and build a five-story new building there. “When we can start depends on the city,” explains Adamek.
