New York-SANA

The Mayor of the American city of New York, Andrew Como, made an urgent appeal to save the city and requested a number of doctors and volunteers, as the number of deaths resulting from the spread of Corona virus and overcrowding in hospitals escalated, reflecting the situation that may be suffering from other states and cities in the near future.

"Please come and help us in New York. Now we need relief work at a time when the number of deaths in New York State has exceeded 1,200, most of them in New York City itself," The Associated Press today quoted Como as saying.

"Whether it's Detroit or New Orleans, that's what it will be like all over the country," Como warned.

A US Navy hospital ship with 1,000 beds on board has arrived at a port in New York to help alleviate the city-wide crisis in treating patients without HIV to give overcrowded hospitals an opportunity to deal with those suffering from Covid 19.

Como said that anyone who says that this situation is confined to New York City only suffers from a state of denial and we will see this virus spread to across the country as there is no American immune to this virus.

The United States reported more than 140,000 injuries and more than 2,500 deaths, while New York City recorded the worst toll.
