While day after day, feedback from the field reveals the companies' difficulties in resisting the coronavirus tsunami, the State has decided to reinforce its arsenal of support measures once again. This Tuesday, Bruno Le Maire thus announced an extension of the solidarity fund, which is aimed at the self-employed and very small businesses, achieving less than one million euros in turnover and employing less than ten employees.

This fund covers two components: compensation for the loss of turnover of up to 1,500 euros, and additional assistance of 2,000 euros paid, on a case-by-case basis for the most vulnerable players, by the regions. These payments were previously reserved for companies that suffered a loss of 70% of their turnover in March, compared to March 2019. For April, at the request of the professional federations, the conditions had been lightened: a "simple »A 50% drop in turnover was enough to be eligible for the fund.
