The COP26 on climate that was to be held in Glasgow in November has been postponed due to the pandemic of new coronavirus, announced the British government on Wednesday.

"Given the global and continuous impact of COVID-19, holding an ambitious and inclusive COP26 in November 2020 is no longer possible," the government said on its website, adding that the summit will take place in 2021 in the Scottish town, on a later date.
