The Technical Services Directorate in Latakia has finished repairing the damage caused by several landslides in the governorate countryside as a result of the recent heavy rains and reopened some roads.

The Director of Technical Services, Engineer Wael Al-Jurdi, stated in a statement to SANA that most of the collapses occurred in the countryside of Al-Haffa as a result of the clay soil and on the Al-Haffa axis, the dam road, Khafli intersection towards the municipality of Babna, the road to Tala, pointing to repairing the damage in four sites on this axis and remains one site on the road leading To Tala Village, it will be completed within 24 hours.

Al-Jurdi pointed to repairing the damage caused by a landslide on the Al-Haffah axis in Kass and the same on the axis of Anakiya Rasioun Habit and reopening the road and isolating the Maysaloun road Salah Al-Din Castle and a highway in Slanfah towards Al-Kars from the results of the cliff caused by the rain and opening a highway the block of cricket Zubar after removing the landslides from The mountain block adjacent to the road in addition to one of the sites within the municipality of Fedra.

The Director of Technical Services explained that the directorate's workshops are continuing to work to repair the damage that occurred as a result of a collapse on the road leading to the village of Tala in the northern countryside of Lattakia, and that the work will be completed tomorrow.

On the other hand, the Directorate also completed paving the Sidat Al-Zahraa road with stones, along with work to expand the road to secure protection for its users.
