From the Olympic Games to the America's Cup, all kinds of calendar changes have been seen, including suspension or postponement of competitions, closed-door events or venue changes.
These are the most important events that were affected by the coronavirus:

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics

The outbreak of the covid-19 virus also caused the postponement of Tokyo 2020 that will take place in 2021, from July 23 to August 8.

Copa América and Eurocopa

* The Copa América scheduled to be played this 2020 in Colombia and Argentina, will be postponed until 2021. It will be played from June 11 to July 11 of next year.

* UEFA decided that the European tournament will be postponed to 2021. It will be played from June 11 to July 11 next year.

World Cup Qualifiers

* FIFA confirmed the suspension of the first qualifying dates for South America and Asia.
* CONCACAF also canceled the scheduled playoff dates for March.

Soccer leagues in South America

* Argentina: The Sports Ministry ordered the suspension of soccer in the country.
* Bolivia: The FBF suspended activity for the rest of March.
* Brazil: suspended national tournaments, state tournaments are played behind closed doors.
* Chile: Soccer is suspended from March 18.
* Colombia: temporary suspension of the league.

* Peru: the league was suspended.
* Paraguay: As of March 11, public activities with massive attendance were suspended.
* Uruguay: canceled football indefinitely.
* Venezuela: all activity was suspended.

UEFA

* UEFA suspended international competitions; Champions League and Europa League.

Other soccer leagues

* The Mexican Clausura Tournament was suspended from March 16.
* Series A was suspended.
* The League ordered a stop from March 12.
* The English Premier League was postponed.
* The Bundesliga was postponed.
* French Ligue 1 was also postponed.
* The Major League Soccer of the United States (MLS), postponed its campaign for 30 days, beginning on March 12.

Basketball

* The NBA suspended the season, several players tested positive for coronavirus. The league announced on March 12 that it will have a minimum of 30 days without activity.
* The International Basketball Federation (FIBA), canceled all its activities.

Formula 1

* The season will start in May after the postponement of the Grand Prix in Australia, Bahrain, Vietnam and China.
* The Monaco Grand Prix will not take place in 2020.

MotoGP

* Qatar Grand Prix (March 8) suspended.
* Thai Grand Prix (March 22) suspended.
* Austin Grand Prix (April 5) suspended.

Cycling

* The start of the Giro d'Italia scheduled for Hungary was suspended.
* The Tour of the United Arab Emirates was suspended with two stages to go.
* The Colombian Fernando Gaviria was positive for coronavirus.

Baseball

* The MLB postponed the start of the season for at least two weeks.
* The Japanese Baseball League suspended the start of the season, scheduled for March 20.

Tennis

* The International Tennis Federation suspended tournaments until April 20.
* The Roland Garros will be played from September 20 to October 4.
* Wimbledon will not be played in 2020.

Golf

* The Augusta Masters, the first 'major' tournament of the year, was postponed, with no date yet.
* The Players Championship, the Valspar Championship, the WGC-Dell Match Play Championship and the Valero Texas Open were also affected.
* The European Tour canceled the Maybank Championship in Malaysia and the Chinese Open.

Marathons
