Gantz approached Netanyahu, but only ostensibly, because in the meantime, he is expressing more than ever opposition to applying sovereignty • The issue of the cases provoking unrest on the right only adds to the Israeli Railways complication

For now, there are no indications that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has changed direction. The unity government that was due to emerge this week has not, in the meantime, replaced its place in favor of an unknown alternative plan - at least as of this writing. Benny Gantz already risked everything when he embarked on the unity adventure that dismantled his party, But if he decides to return to the legislative path against Netanyahu, his former partners will happily join him and help him, and his chances of forming a minority government remain as well, and even now it depends on Zvika Hauser and Yoaz Real.

So it doesn't appear that breaking down blue and white has caused Netanyahu to change direction. His condition has not improved much since. The main problem remains, as usual, the issue of cases. The Prime Minister will have to take Naftali Bennett the security file, but he will not be able to leave it alone. Gabi Ashkenazi is ready to give up the foreign case for Bennett, but he has not yet decided what his replacement case is for him.

The parties also disagree on the identity of Knesset Likud chairman and Justice Minister Blue White, but pressure from Knesset members on Netanyahu and Gantz may result in a solution that would eventually swallow the appointment of Yuli Edelstein as Knesset Speaker, and in return Netanyahu will endorse Avi Nissancorn's appointment as Justice Minister. In the Likud, Gantz was surprised to discover intense opposition from Gantz to the program of sovereignty over Yishuv localities. During the election campaign, Gantz addressed the issue of annexation, as is the case with many other issues, without actually saying anything. Decisive resistance, as it is now being discovered, certainly was not then.

But Netanyahu is not ready to give up. In spite of the agreement in principle in the first half of the year, the government will deal mainly with the Corona issue and the accompanying economic story, leaving the other issues to continue, in this case there is no continuation. In six months, the US presidential election will be held. Netanyahu fears that within a few months the window of opportunity will close and therefore insists. Whoever enters the beam and is likely to solve the plunder is rival Levin. Such complications, in his talent, are food without salt.

For Gantz, this is a drag. Annexation is just an excuse. Netanyahu may have changed his direction and pulled from it to pull time. In two weeks, Gantz's mandate to form a coalition will end, and the mandate will pass to the USSR.

Who has abandoned who

Last Wednesday, the day before Blue and White broke up, Lieberman spoke with Torch. The close political alliance between the two, which includes dozens of talks, co-ordinations and updates, will once again spark the need for mannerisms and Lieberman went straight to the point. What's the story with Gantz, he was interested. His senses are sharp. He didn't know something was going on, but he was afraid of a scenario that Gantz was running away from. Torch reassured him. He didn't know that at that very moment, Gantz was having feverish discussions. On the same day, the token fell to the threat that Netanyahu sent to them, according to which Meir Cohen's appointment as Speaker of the Knesset would blast the contacts, real.

At that moment they also realized that Torch had other motives. Whose atrocity to appoint Cohen here and now does not work with logic. Gantz would not have made the decision immediately, had it not been for the High Court that attached a soft gun to the Knesset and required it to appoint a chairman immediately. Two options were for Gantz who urged him to make a swift decision: to bring Cohen's appointment to the Knesset the next day, and in effect to cause further elections, or to inform Torch that he is delaying the appointment to exhaust the negotiations with Netanyahu.

After an entire night's meeting, which was also joined by Gabi Ashkenazi and adviser Ronen Tzur, Gantz decided that Cohen's appointment would not come that day for approval. That torch was enough. In choosing between Netanyahu and him, Gantz chose Netanyahu. Within minutes, he announced the dissolution of Blue and White.

Bibby Bennett: The never-ending Fayette

Since the outbreak of the Corona crisis, Defense Minister Bennett's horn has risen. Of all the senior figures on the subject, Bennett seems to be able to stand out in a series of decisions and interviews that have given the impression. He keeps a daily briefing broadcast on his Facebook page and responds to journalist questions sent to his speaker ahead of time.

So far, Netanyahu has refrained from intervening in security matters. The defense minister's freedom of action was almost complete. The Corona crisis has changed the picture. Until Bennett's intervention, which coincided with the Home Front Command's responsibility for many aspects of the plague war and the operation of hotels for the sick and isolated, Netanyahu was the undisputed star. At one point patience was over. Netanyahu offers nothing but the opposite, only exacerbating the closure every time. The impression is that there is no clear intentional hand. That the Ministry of Health does not know what it really is and that Netanyahu is not leading the business by hand as it initially seemed.

But Netanyahu, like all systems in Israel and around the world, operates in a space of uncertainty that was unparalleled. And to this created space, Bennett entered. While Netanyahu talks about "closing night," Bennett talks about the day after and offers solutions on how to get back to normal. Netanyahu became the prophet of wrath, and Bennett the harbinger of redemption. The government meeting where the parties were arguing was probably just the beginning. As far as Netanyahu is concerned, Bennett goes into areas he doesn't have and offers magic solutions that he doesn't trust and therefore has no responsibility for their success or failure. At the same time, on issues that he directly trusts - the health security of IDF soldiers - many deficiencies were revealed when it was revealed that the bases did not adhere to the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Of course, all of these are joined by the political crisis and the feeling in the right-wing party that Netanyahu is abandoning them for a sigh. The ultra-Orthodox maintain their status, while they will have to settle for crumbs. The confrontation is likely to increase until the government's establishment and the termination of Bennett as defense minister. Then new conflicts will begin. All of this, as mentioned, is true to the time of the fall in the column, but the developments last Thursday taught us that we should not be surprised by surprise.

And on the sidelines of coalition talks: Pnina Tamano-Zeta was elected to the Knesset when she joined Yair Lapid's fresh list in 2013. The choice to leave this week was not easy, but not very surprising either. Since the outbreak of the Corona crisis, she has been pressing a torch to enter the government. The people need unity, she told him. Torch didn't listen. On Saturday night, she sat with him and informed him she was going with Gantz. In real time, she thought this would bring a political end.

Torch, she thought, would declare her as part of her departure, which would have prevented her from running in the next Knesset in a blue-and-white frame or any other existing party. Bens at the same time asked MK Rabbi Deir Kamal to smell his resilience to Israel to join Yis Futur, and the screaming passed in agreement.
