The Ministry of Awqaf announced the continuation of the suspension of Friday prayers, sermons, and congregational prayers in Syrian mosques until the 16th of April, in accordance with the fatwa of the Ministry’s Fiqh Scientific Council.
The comment also included, according to the ministry’s statement, which Sana received a copy of today, all religious and Quranic lessons in other mosques to the same date.
The Fiqh Scientific Council at the Ministry of Awqaf and the Union of Levant Scholars issued a fatwa suspending the Friday prayers, sermons, and congregational prayers in Syrian mosques temporarily, starting from the 15th of March until the 4th of April, in the interest of the safety of citizens and mosque goers because the places of gatherings and crowds increase the risk of infection and the spread of a virus Sk.
