Easter is coming. But for believers this year it will have to be different than usual due to the Corona crisis.
Benediktbeuern / Bichl / Kochel / Bad Heilbrunn - Easter will be celebrated in a few days - this year under special circumstances. "Unfortunately, the instructions in the diocesan instructions do not allow the otherwise usual, solemn organization of the Holy Week", Pastor Father Heiner Heim tells the faithful in Benediktbeuern, Bichl and Kochel. For Palm Sunday, according to the pastor, there is a beautifully designed special edition of the parish letter entitled “Triad for Easter” with thoughts on the individual days of Holy Week. "This special edition is not only available in the churches, but also in shops and in public places," the pastor wrote in a press release.

There are also templates for house services on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. "All churches are open for personal prayer until late at night," said Heim. "On Good Friday there is a cross in the choir room for personal worship, and on Sunday morning you can get the Easter candle from the Easter candle and take it home."
Internal liturgy of the monastery community
The monastery community will celebrate the liturgy internally, but no one from outside can participate. "So our parish community is spiritually and prayerfully involved in the celebration of the liturgy these days and united in belief in the secrets of our salvation," wrote the pastor.
The faithful in Bad Heilbrunn are also asked to celebrate at home. "At the order of the General Vicariate of Augsburg, neither palm bushes nor Easter candles and dishes may be consecrated, not even in camera," the parish office said. However, every baptized person can do this himself as part of a house service.
