Weichs - Birgit Singer (CSU), Thomas Sänger (WBV) and Günter Schilcher (WBV) have been sitting in the municipal council of Weichs for twelve years and have had a political influence on the development of the Glonntal community with their decisions. The Dachauer Nachrichten asked them about the reasons for leaving and various issues from their two legislative periods.

48-year-old Birgit Singeraus Weichs, commercial clerk in her own car workshop, moved to the local council in 2008 as a CSU member. From the beginning she was a member of the finance committee. When a culture committee was set up in 2018, it also made itself available for this.

She spent a lot of time and commitment on youth work in the first ten years and also moved a lot: “I am pleased that there is still good youth work with us today,” she says.

She was particularly pleased to found the Culture Committee so that the culture in Weichs will continue to be on good ground in the future. She cannot think of a decision she would like to reverse.

When asked what remained unfulfilled for her during her tenure, she says: “A 1st CSU Mayor! But Martin Hofmann does a very good job as second mayor. ”She recommends her successors in the municipal council to critically question decisions, have their own opinion, deal with issues and always look at both sides. After twelve years, she would like to devote herself to other tasks.

Günter Schilcher from Aufhausen from the Wisdom Representative had also not been running. The reason given by the 52-year-old employee in the real estate management of social housing is that he has been a self-catering hut of the German Alpine Club, Munich section, as a speaker for two years as a long-time enthusiastic alpinist, which takes a lot of time.

Schilcher likes to think back to 2008: “At that time we had heard and often experienced that the council meetings were sometimes rather inharmonious and that many decisions were made based on personal feelings and not necessarily for the good of the community. We wanted to change this by founding the WBV. I think we succeeded in doing that. ”

He advises his successors to continue to pursue the current constructive cooperation. He was particularly pleased with the expansion of the sports home into a community center, where the various clubs found a home.

He also doesn't want to hide his anger about something: “I don't like the fact that the Catholic kindergarten comes into the new children's house just because the church, which is always quite uncooperative, does the expensive renovation of the old building, which it itself has done in recent years kidnapped, doesn't want to carry. "

Thomas Sänger (also WBV) from Ebersbach, a 48-year-old self-employed painter, said about his voluntary departure: “There are professional reasons for this, because as a councilor you simply have to spend a lot of time. In addition, others should also get involved and successfully complete the projects that have started, such as a children's home, and tackle new challenges for the benefit of the citizens of Visto. ”

From 2008 to 2014, Singer was on the finance committee and until now on the construction committee. A solid financial policy was always particularly important to him. During his tenure, there were many decisions that he was pleased about retrospectively: for example, building children's playgrounds, new residential areas, and expanding the cemetery. He would like to reverse the sale of the former Rauch restaurant in Ebersbach, which was owned by the municipality for some time.

He does not see an unfulfilled project. He advises the new municipal council that you do not always have to agree and that you should always tackle projects that are financially sustainable and for the good of the citizens.

Christian Blumenschein (WBV) and Thomas Stiefelmayer (CSU) have also left the municipal council after twelve years. You did not get enough votes this time. Both were on the construction committee. Blumenschein had also long assumed the office of community youth officer.
