According to the investigation, two men got into a dispute in a refugee shelter on Saturday. A 28-year-old Afghan citizen is said to have stabbed his 23-year-old compatriot. An emergency doctor could no longer help the man. The police are looking for the suspect.

The suspect is 28 years old, 184 centimeters tall, weighs around 74 kilos, is slim and has short black hair. He has a three-day beard and speaks broken German. He is probably dressed in jeans and a dark cardigan.

“According to initial investigations by the criminal police and the public prosecutor's office in Coburg, there was a dispute between two men at around 11.30 a.m. in the shared accommodation for asylum seekers in Ludwigsstädter Strasse in Kronach. In the course of this the suspect, who had been fleeting up to now, is said to have inflicted fatal injuries on the 23-year-old resident of the accommodation with a knife. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the 23-year-old Afghan citizen.
The alarmed police officers from Kronach immediately searched for the fugitive with the support of the surrounding police stations. So far, the search measures have been unsuccessful. The criminal police and the Coburg public prosecutor took over the investigation into the homicide. In addition to officers from the crime scene, a forensic doctor also came to the scene. ”
