Klaus Reindl's time in the town council began when Helmut Zech took over the town of Pfaffenhofen / Glonn as mayor: 18 years ago.

Pfaffenhofen / Glonn - Since 2002 the two companions have been, discussed, argued, negotiated, found compromises and solutions. "We always tried to find a common denominator," says Reindl, describing the work in the local council. And he succeeded very well.

He was able to bring decisive projects along: the promotion of renewable energies, the bypass road Pfaffenhofen / Egenburg, the upgrading of the sewage treatment plant, the village renewal, and much more. However, Reindl does not want to reap the laurels for this, but instead is full of praise for the head of the community: "Helmut is a stroke of luck for the community," he emphasizes.

Now the two separate ways, at least in the town council. Because the native of Munich, who moved to Pfaffenhofen because of love for 1978, remains close to the community not only as a founding member of the asylum helper circle. Klaus Reindl also wants to assist his colleagues from the general electoral group with advice and action, if desired. Just like he offered that to his comrades at the volunteer fire brigade, for which he still does the press work. The ADAC traffic expert did not want to run again as a municipal council this year due to age reasons. "At some point it will end," the 69-year-old explains his retreat. However, the end doesn't really fit when you see what the Wahl-Pfaffenhofener does.

The journalist is still a sought-after speaker, among other things gives media training workshops for lawyers and firefighters and also works for the ADAC on the side. During his time at Germany's largest automobile club, he conducted 42,000 interviews. Before that again countless during his time as a volunteer and editor at the Bavarian Radio, for which he worked for 15 years. And then his boss at the time gave him advice that he has always followed. "After an interview, you still have to be able to drink a beer with your counterpart" - a principle that Klaus Reindl has also transferred to the local council. No matter how hard it was discussed, it was always fair, said Klaus Reindl. sim
